Je loup à la bouche is a French saying which basically means, “Dear God I love to eat! Yum yum I’m licking my chops like a wolf.” I am a true gourmande at heart and in practice.I frequent my local Greenmarket, try to buy local, organic, and fresh, and believe in homemade cooking. No fads, diets, restraints. Be sensible, but be able to enjoy every flavor. Bring on the asparagus and the croissants, the apples and the cakes, and the chocolate. …oh oh cheri, how I love the chocolate.
This being said, I am a college student. Most of the year I cook in my dorm’s kitchen and must keep my perishables in a minifridge. I live on a student’s budget and have only a student’s patience and allowance of time. Therefore, as I regularly cook these recipes found here, they are all fairly simple, get the least number of dishes dirty, and take not too much time.
I do not think I am the typical college student by any means, nor do I wish to be one–all I am saying, please be assured, is that gourmet, fresh, timely, cheap, and fun can be done.
